A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IS POSSIBLE!
1 tin chickpeas
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 cloves garlic (crushed)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tsp nigella seeds
½ tsp salt and pepper to taste
1 bag of dried figs (chopped)
Drain the chickpeas and add them to a pan with the chopped tomatoes on a low heat.
Add in the herbs and spices, along with the crushed garlic and simmer on a low heat for 15 minutes.
Stir in the dried figs and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat but leave covered with a saucepan lid for a further 10 minutes.
